We departed from Jingtong station. Honestly, this station has more sightseeing compare to Jingtong.
The hotspot would be witnessed the train pass by overhead bridge and also releasing sky lantern on the track!
Lesser crowd compare to Shifen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place to put balloons with wishes into air in this old railway station.
The people is so nice here. Salespersons, even in old ages, has an international language capacity to deal with balloon prices. There is also nice gifts to buy here.
Several places are good for photo taking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was rainy day when lantern festival was about to start, however, weather was pretty much nice what I expected,night view of Pingxi station was gloomy and nostalgic, I had a trouble with my easycard, train station staffs helped me to solve the problem with smile and they were also generous,helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful station with lots to see around.You can visit Pingxi waterfall, Houtung station(also known as cat street) and finally go to Keelung for delicious sea food.you can plan a food at Shenkeng which is famous for tofu. Jiufen and Ruifeng are also good places. You can cover most of these in two days

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, well kept train station to retain some of the aura of the old times. Good place to take some photos and linger. Also has a clean bathroom to use after walking along the old street.
