POTALA布達拉西藏館 Tibetan&Indian Food

I've been here a few times and have tried a few different dishes. Service - The staff are always very friendly and pleasant - very nice people. However it's often difficult to get service and the lady often looks run off her feet, and meals often come slowly. Atmosphere / decor - nicely decorated, and very colorful, nice place. The bathrooms could do with a refurb though. Food - I've tried many dishes - dal OK, chana masala tastes like it's been cooked in a can of tomato soup, roast mutton excellent, aloo gohbi good. I've actually been here for a couple of buffets, and their buffet food is much better than the a la carte food. Also they never seem to have cold beers in the fridge, they always have to throw them in the freezer for a while. Additionally the Indian milk tea I had was the worst ever! No flavor of tea, little spice, insipid, watery nothingness. Overall it's OK, but I find it consistently underwhelming. Hit and miss food dishes, and slow service, but nice people and nice decor. But at this price I really can't justify going back.

I came here with my friend and ordered three dishes. We ordered chicken and they said we should change our order because the other chicken dish is equivalent to a half chicken and it had more meat and the same flavor. When the order came, it was a dish with only six small pieces of chicken, definitely not a half chicken size. Also their dishes are overpriced to our consideration and we asked to talk to the manager but they said we should talk to the chef. They were very rude to us and they refused to complete our size request or give us some money back. Their food has nothing special, just lots of sauce and very small portions for 400-500nt. I won't recommend.

Great cosy little restaurant with friendly service. Highly recommend the lamb momos and daal curry, though you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu.

The owners were very attentive to our need. I told them we like spicy food so they took the initiative to change the dumpling sauce to a spicy one for us. I will be coming back.

The food was delicious. We had beef Momo, beef noodles and some vegetarian curry. -1 star in my mind for the service which can be improved. Definitely will come back and will recommend this place. The price/value/size ratio is great.

This was some of the best curry we've had in Taiwan. The Momos are suuuuper delicious, service is excellent and the atmosphere is great. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to all.

Had an excellent meal here recently. We had never really tried Tibetan food before but love Indian and we were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant smelled amazing when we stepped inside and we were greeted very warmly. The staff are extremely cheerful and helpful. I opted for a blue cheese curry out of curiosity and it was excellent. Only for blue cheese lovers because the flavor is rather strong, but it was a unique and filling dish. The masala was also great and I really liked their naan. Next time I'll definitely go with a larger group so we can try more of the dishes on the menu, so much of it was really appealing.
