★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Michelin class steak house. Excellent gourmet both in terms of presentation and taste. Good ambience except occasional noisy customers. Staffs are friendly and efficient. Food is served with introduction and explanation.
Steaks are grilled to the exact doneness and this requires exceptional skill from the cook. I am extremely impressed.
A little disappointed with the coffee though. Too sour.
Its location is rather secluded. It is situated inside Taipei Garden Hotel. Your best bet is to ask the staffs in the hotel lobby.
Booking in advance is recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suprisingly poor quality of service. The waitress didn't offer junior's dining chair till I asked, eventhough they saw me walking in the restaurant with a 3-year-old. The time I asked for a refill of drinking water, one of the waitress rolled her eyes on me, and she only refilled my glass and overlooked my other family members. The poor service really compromised the dining experience and my wife's birthday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great steaks and foods here, the service also sweet and nice. "Prime one" gave us a joy of experience. Even the price a little bit higher in TW, but it still a restaurant where worthwhile to have lunch or dinner. BTW, they provide 3 hrs free parking at their parking space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having the T-bone set meal for two here, we really enjoyed the food. We had our T-bone medium rare and that was just right for us. The steak was served with two side dishes and five different kinds of salt. The bread was pretty great. There was a dessert cart with at least ten different kinds of desserts, including chocolate tart, eclair, Panama cotta, canele, and more. Overall, great value for the dining experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife loves dry-aged steak, and we used to dine at this restaurant fairly frequently back in the days when we did not have a dog. We have a dog who gets extremely anxious when we are not around, and ever since he came to our house three years ago, we have not been able to dine here. However, from our dining experiences in the past, Prime One is still the best place for steak in this island. No doubt about it. Space is fairly limited, so make sure to call and reserve in advance. If you need a cozy place for a date with a carnivore, this is the place to go.

Almost every dish is good, the price is reasonable, and the environment is quite bright and relaxing.
The fly in the ointment is that the waiters are not professional enough.
