I am a native ABC and I don't often have the opportunity to return to Taiwan. But every time I have the opportunity to visit my family in Taiwan, I will definitely do my hair. Because everything in the United States is inexplicably expensive. Purely Hair’s Zi Ling helped me make the hair that day, she was introduced to me by a friend of mine who I knew in the United States. But at the time, my friend didn't give me her contact information, so I called. I first spoke to another designer (Wei Lun). His people answered many of my questions very well and patiently introduced the products used in their store and listened to many of my requests. Later, he helped me contact Ziling. Things done that day: Ion Perm, Hair Coloring, Hair Cutting, Hair Care ...I have done ion ironing before in Taiwan or in the United States, but I have had bad experience. For example, after ironing, there are always one or two pieces of hair (near the ears and behind the neck) and it becomes hard and curly. The screws are straight but I am obviously hot. After that, the hair may become dry and start to split ends. My hair is thick, thick and stiff, with natural curls, so it is difficult to control and very difficult to handle. Because my previous experience has caused some shadows on me, I am very nervous about trying out a new barber shop and stylist. So I will do a lot of research and homework before deciding which salon to go to. The ionizing hot potion used by Purely Hair is a European brand that I forgot to call it. The effect of it is very natural, soft, without split ends, and it won't become curled in the ironed area. This is still the case a year later. (See photo comparison) Services of the day: The storefront of Purely Hair is a bit small but very cozy. There were only two seats at the time (I don't know if it is now). I remember that I wanted to make an appointment with them first. Although the store is not big, it makes me feel like a VIP shop, which makes people have an exclusive treatment. Each of me prefers to have this private style when doing hair. Both designers are very hospitable. They are also very experienced and have a lot of understanding of their profession. They are willing to introduce, explain, and share with you. You can feel that they are passionate about their profession. Price: very reasonable General conclusion: The experience of doing ion ironing was the best I have ever experienced. Regardless of the product, service, technology, or price, I highly recommend Purely Hair. I got my hair done Nov of 2019 by 子翎who was recommended by a friend in the States. I got a straight perm, hair coloring, hair treatment and a trim (basically everything I could indulge in as getting your hair done in the States comes at a hefty price). I honestly would have to say the quality of their product and service is phenomenal! Products: The straight perm I got done at this Salon would be the best I've ever had, and I've had a couple done both in Taiwan and the States, but every time it left some areas of my hair rough and wirey. Purely uses a European solution (I forgot the name) that leaves your hair straight but natural and restored. After a year, the part that was straight permed is still silky and soft with NO SPLIT ENDS! Service: Purely hair is run by Wei Lun and Zi Ling who are super friendly and accomodating. It's a small salon with just two styling chairs/ stations so you get individualized treatment when you arrive. (Not sure if they've expanded as I couldn't go back this year due to COVID-19). The stylists are very knowledgable and will gladly share their knowledge with you and welcome questions. I asked a lot of questions as I am very picky with who does my hair and how it gets done as I have had some bad experiences before, which left me with some PTSD making me super paranoid about everything when I get my hair done. Price: Very reasonable compared to some other salons in the area. I called a few other salons in the area to compare the pricing. Overall summary: highly recommend to anyone who is looking for good quality service at a reasonable price. If it was not for COVID 19, I would go back to them again to get my hair done this year. I have known Ziling since the Eastern District era. I followed Zhongxiao Dunhua all the way to Nanjing Sanmin. The designer is super friendly, the technique is nothing to say, and I will not recommend unnecessary courses. I am a Buddha-hearted beauty with ulterior motives to help you get a haircut. , Push!
