Historic breakfast restaurant beside the temple. It sells a variety of Chinese snacks for traditional breakfast. The bun and pastry are so yummy! Some of the food is greasy, but generally is great and tasty. The price is moderate. There is no much place for parking. Yet it recalls the zest of old time and childhood. The restaurant is a good choice if one would like to savor traditional Chinese food for breakfast!

A vegetarian buffet restaurant next to a temple. The food was okay, I think it would be better when it's hotter.

My favourite food spot in Tainan. The dimsums and dumplings are great and I find them affordable.

Highly recommend!! Especially fried dumplings, so juicy and slightly crispy of the layer. Oh ! The salty soy milk is another item you wouldn’t wanna miss, taste really amazing!!

Nice local breakfast shop although I feel that the price is kind of high for Tainan. You can ala-carte everything so you can try many varieties in little portions. I like their 燒餅 (shao-bing), and not so much with the 蛋餅 (omelet pancake)

Moderately priced by the item (not by weight) vegetarian dim sum. Grab a plate and a pair of tongs to pick out the stuff you want. Most items cost between NT$12-30 each. You can even get a whole, deep-fried silver thread bun (銀絲卷) for just NT$30. The savory items are vegan, and the cakes are ovo-vegetarian. I’m not sure how they value the sides since there’s no scale. My favorites were the emerald dumpling (翡翠果) and fried spring roll (春捲). I didn’t partake in any of the breakfast items or drinks made to order, but they should be fairly easy to distinguish between vegan and ovo-lacto-vegetarian by the name (e.g., egg pancake 蛋餅, cold/hot milk tea 冷熱奶茶). Overall, the food seems well-made and tastes good. The biggest downside is that my eyes are bigger than my stomach! I’ll be back to try more of their goodies.

The restaurant has a good selection of vegetarian dim sum. It is a bit “old fashioned”, and wouldn’t make it too far in terms of its decor. The food is pretty good though.
