★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place and tasty food. We went for a babyshower party. Overall experience was very good. The only thing I would bring up was that we waited 30 mins for the first bowl of udon soup to show up on our table.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a good example of transforming an old Japanese dorm into a new restaurant without losing its historical signatures. The food here is simple and good. I recommend their specialty coffee drinks. Make sure you make reservations before you come and always wear socks in order to best preserve the wooden floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was modified from house. U can visit the house when u come here. There are lunch and dinner set . U can make your reservation via their wedsite to secure yr seat. If u r not local, u can drop them an email which is also from their official website. Once u book, they will send u an email to confirm booking. They will ask if u would like special menu ( eg lobster ) and those special menu need pre booking. The menu is very easy to read and almost all the food are tasty. If u can’t speak Chinese, there are waitress who can speak English fluently. Anyway is a great experience to eat japan food in Taiwan is such a nice house based restaurant

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is in a beautiful old Japanese house. You can walk inside the house even if you don’t eat here, and there is also regular guided tour. The food is Japanese and it is just above average. But given the price (dinner set starts from NT400), it is worth coming. Book well advance ahead though.

The food here is decent but just a bit pricy, since there is a minimum charge of NTD 500/person ($18) in the dinner time. Recommend check out the English menu to see which dining time is doing better for you before making rsvn and enjoying your meals there!
