★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazed by this quiet and peaceful tea house hidden in the alley where you wouldn't expect places like this.
This place is like a combination of a Japanese -styled tea house and a art gallery. Can you imagine having Kung-fu tea in the middle of art gallery?
Their menu has a full collection of tea, and you can order by either cup or set. I had a set of oolong tea and picked a green bean cake and a taro cake from the dessert menu.The tea was great and so were those cakes.
Perfect place for a relaxing afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great place to spend the whole afternoon. There are Art works collections, some are for sale, Chinese teas, they have good ones, recommend that you taste them, and take home. And some incense products, a good selection to go with tea.
Card is accepted. The house itself is remodeled from an Japanese style old property, you might also find it an enjoyment to look at the transformation from a family living to a business purpose.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the easiest place to find, but it’s very quaint once found. The grounds are rather romantic.
The service here is good. However the price is on the higher side for the quality of tea. I honestly just wish that their teas were of better quality, whatever the price may be. Though I doubt that a standard tourist would notice the difference in tea quality. That being said, this is supposed to be a legit tea house with full-on ceremonial tea service. They have three different cups, your standard smell and drink cups and then a third “watch the color” cup. With all that regalia, one can only expect greatness in tea quality, only be disappointed in the end.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second teahouse that I visited during my 2 months stayed in Taipei in 2017. The teahouse is situated among some housing area. A lot of interesting cafe and teahouse nearby where I did not have time to visit.
The price is on the high side and they only offer tea and traditional sweets. Maybe due to this it was rather quiet when during my visit.
Housed in a traditional residential house with a small bamboo garden in the teahouse itself. Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere there.
A good collection of tea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful grounds and tea house. It was the former home to a Japanese professor during the occupation, hence the style. Parts have been refurbished but mainly the shell is the same. Very friendly service, young lady speaks good English & she teaches you 'gong fu' style of tea brewing. A little expensive, tea is good but not exceptional & range is limited. Some simple desserts to accompany your tea. I think the best thing is the peace & quiet, exquisite building and you could spend hours here without being rushed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have struggled to give it a 4 or 3 stars. I ended up deciding on a 3.
The place is an old historical building, therefore you can enjoy the ambiance. However, most rooms I would say are a bit dark. Minus 0.5 star for that.
The menu is a short list, but not significant to the rating.
The tea leave I selected was good. But the biggest problem (you can see it in the photo) is the water. It came in a electric kettle, and the staff will change the kettle every fifteen minutes. It means the water temperature is not consistent. That’s my biggest concern. Minus 1.5 star.
