Qiufengjia Memorial Park - Fengyuan District

Qiu Fengjia Memorial Park was established to commemorate the martyr Qiu Fengjia. Qiu Litai's poem "The prime minister has the power to cede the land, but the lone minister is unable to return to heaven." The memorial park is about 15 minutes drive from Fengyuan city. The park is not large, with a pavilion and a stone tablet in it, which record the life of Mr. Qiu Fengjia for tribute. This park is also the highest point in Fengyuan District. It overlooks the scenery of North Taichung. It is an excellent location for sunset photography in Fengyuan District. You can overlook the Dadu Platform (Dadu Mountain) and Houli Platform, which are about 200 to 300 meters high from north to south. Between the two platforms, the terrain formed by the Dajia River cut through the mouth, and the mouth of Qingshui and Gaomei wetland can be seen from the terrain. From left to right, you can see the bustling city of Fengyuan, the planes taking off and landing at Taichung Airport on the Dadu platform, the Gaomei wetland and windmills, the traffic flow of Dajia, National Highway No. 4, and the Ferris wheel of Lihpao Land in Houli. At dusk when the weather is clear, you will always see many photographers gathering here just to wait for the beauty to appear. The best month for photography is early May. The sun will set at the estuary of Dajia River and you can see the sun set to sea level.
