★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新近熱潮"基隆一日雙塔"之一的球子山燈塔,是在廢棄的軍營裡,目前路口還是有鐵絲網門圍住,通過之後往山坡上走,路程並不遠,兩旁的花草樹木有許多昆蟲,小朋友們是興趣盎然,經過舊營房和砲陣地,轉個彎就看到了白色的燈塔,再往上88公尺就到火號山頂,上面設有觀景台,俯瞰基隆港美景,回頭看來時路,燈塔矗立在港區景色之中,很美很上相.車子可以停在鐵網前空地或路邊,搭公車可以搭往聖安宮在中和國宅站下車,健行者可以從仙洞巖經仙洞公園而來.

車停佛手洞附近（免費），直上走往球子山燈塔，在接往（白米甕砲台的登山步道，差不多走了50分鐘，就到砲台了），最後到基隆燈塔，下馬路走回佛手洞）。
