★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there twice, once during the day and once at night. Obviously, there's not much to see here during the day, but the atmosphere at night is mesmerizing. There was a live musician by the purple Christmas tree at the front of the road and there were quite a few people visiting although it's low season and a lot of the stalls weren't open that day. There's a selection of handicraft such as scented candles to choose from and you'll find a place to sit down and have a beer. The lanterns look lovely at night and give the place a special charm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool spot to take in and go on a date! Went in the afternoon. Nothing was out and it was very warm. I was told that in the evening time, it is more lively with shops open and things to eat. Cool place to take pictures though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved this place! Vibrant and creative with a ton of interesting public art, unique buildings, craftspeople, musicians, and food. A great place to relax with a loved one and family. Just a few blocks away from a lively night market too. A perfect evening to soak in great weather in Taitung.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little night market that sells all types of homemade things. Such as purse's, wallet's, utensils, and candies. They have a nice display of lanterns hand painted by local students. Overall good place for the family to relax and enjoy the area. Parking is a bit tricky and limited. I recommend you park at a local parking lot and save the headache.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Railway art village is well connected to public transportation and there are parking spots for bicycles and scooters. Art village has dedicated streets for shopping such as jewelry, food, cosmetics, and live performances. Art village has a rich history for the Japanese era railway where you can relax and see the old wagon, platforms with few lengths of railway lines, and storage warehouse. Art village is situated just behind Taitung bus stand and it has a restroom near to the village art.
But need to take care sometimes you can see drunk homeless people. It's so sad but the government needs to take care of them.
