Best Vietnamese restaurant in Taiwan

P	Pang Cheung Sze on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decorated with taste, this restaurant offers a very pleasant dining experience. Food is tasty and the summer menu is as summery as Vietnamese cuisine should be. There is plenty of vegetarian choices. Price is fairly high but all things considered, it is worth it. I would definitely come back again.

Place is nicely decorated with enjoyable background music and an English-speaking staff and menu. This has quickly become my favorite place in the area and, in my opinion, the best Vietnamese place in Taiwan.

What’s also surprising about red-yen is that it also adds a bit of French style and light fine dining element into its dishes. Overall, always a pleasure to visit the restaurant and enjoy the delicacy. Btw, must try its vegetarian pho and Banh Khot w/ mushroom. Delicious!

I recommend the pho— very fresh ingredients and broth was delicious— and I appreciate that they let you add/adjust additional saltiness according to your taste. the mushroom banh knot (crispy savory pancakes made with rice flour and turmeric) was a bit oily but wonderful flavors and texture. curry was also delicious. obviously higher price point, but the care they put into their food is obvious and the ambiance is modern and very clean but still cozy. nice and quiet for good conversation. will have to try their vegan desserts next time.

Nice bread with the meatballs, but the sauce was very Italian. The spring rolls were alright with flavourful dipping sauce. The vegetarian bánh xèo was disappointing, not crispy enough and the mushrooms were not the right thing to go with it. The "crumble" was not what I expected, but at least the ice cream was decent.
