★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rui An buffet ftw! Staple choice for a place to go when you have a lot of different eaters and/or want a bunch of different tastes in just the right portions. Recommend their kung pao chicken (skip the orange chicken), eggs, any of their beef dishes are good, and a pork chop to top it off. Vegetarians can get away for under 100NT here while carnivores are going to pay around 150NT+ depending on how much meat you get.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty good cafeteria fare, but often over-salted and oily. Worth stopping in if you want something satisfying and cheap. Like many of these places, the free soup is pretty bad, and there are no drinks, so bring your own. You'll likely have to share a table with someone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very affordable. You go in, grab a white box, and get whichever food looks appealing to you. Get rice from the lady near the counter, then pay. Usually a meal cost between 60 and 100 ntd. It took a while for me to figure out which foods were good. Now I enjoy the orange chicken, pepper steak, and bean sprouts. I come here every other day.
