★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located inside the Taipei City Mall Underground. You can walk from Taipei Main Station or Beimen MRT. There are few of choices of Indonesian food there but I always come to this store. The taste is authentic and be aware its quite spicy. There is rice with side dishes ie rendang, nangka, jengkol, tempe (self service) but honestly its quite expensive. There are other choices ie Gado-gado, Soto Ayam, Rawon, Bakso, Mie Ayam with more reasonable price. I order Gado-Gado and the price is NTD120 per portion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in the mood for curry and remembered reading that Indonesia's Beef Rendang was voted #1 as the best food in the world in a CNN poll. I knew about this Indonesian section of the Taipei Station underground mall but to be honest it always seemed intimidating to order. I had the very authentic beef rendang: SUPER spicy with a complex curry with a hint of fish sauce . It's self service buffet style but the problem is prices are not listed and prices for each item can vary widely. The beef rendang was 80ntd PER PIECE, one spicy egg was 30, so be careful how you choose or your simple lunchbox can end up being very expensive ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relatively cheap and some of the best Indonesian food in Taipei. There's so many options to chose from in the menu that I was momentarily stunned. The nasi goreng was particularly impressive. Would definitely come here again

Edit: be careful about the buffet, the pricing system is entirely opaque and i ended up paying 235nt for a plate. Others have suggested white faces incur a higher price, can’t verify that but seems possible

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious Indonesian food alternative in Taipei. It has been a while since I was in Indonesia, so cannot comment on the degree of authenticity, but I enjoyed it. Staff was friendly, and the Satay, if a little expensive, was a very generous portion and also excellent. Drinks were free.
