★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was nice, but the attitude of the servants here were extremely terrible, mind you that includes almost every single one of them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service terrible. Seating topology terrible. Clearly managed by morons. Positive reviews must be faked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and relaxing lunch. They have oysters on the menu (January). The oysters were big, juicy, and fresh!
If you order a set menu you can get refills of the cabbage, black beans, white carrots, rice, and I believe soup as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Classic Japanese comfort food, and saboten does it great! The fried pork loin was surprisingly lean with an extremely crispy coating of breadcrumbs. We loved the curry too; it went great with the Taiwanese rice (a little harder than its Japanese counterpart) and wasn't too spicy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m sorry but I just can’t figure out which part in this meal worth Ntd250. Well, there’s a big bowl of rice. Three deep-fried oysters on the top and a bit of this lettuce which is obviously not cooked so I had to dump it aside like raw garbage. I wonder if later on rats would have interest in this. Oh I almost forgot there’s a cup of drink that I can refill. The thing is, it tastes literally like tap water so as far as I can see, nobody seems to have any interest refilling their drinks. I hate to say, but to be honest with you I totally think this is the best example to demonstrate what ripoff means. By the way there’s no such thing as a service in the store because it’s self-serviced. Personally I wouldn’t come to this chain restaurant again unless all the other stores are closed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on the 12th floor of the Shin Mitsukoshi department store, this is one of several branches of this Japanese chain in Taipei.
Despite being a chain, I love this place. Perfectly cooked pork and chicken cutlets with mouthwatering sauces, eat-as-much-as-you-can salad, pickles, rice and miso soup. Service is always very good and attentive. English-language level of course depends on your server.
It's definitely not the cheapest place for such food in Taipei, but you know what you're getting here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great deep fried pork chops but my chicken katsuni was a bit overcooked, so it tasted a bit dry.
