Salt Lick (火車頭烤肉屋)

Hi guys, I am DEEPly DISHappointed in this meal. Asked for a thicker crust, but got not a deep dish one. Not sure where the cheese went, but way too much sauce on top. Dough tasted like 3 day old pie, not pizza crust at all.l, like I had anticipated. It did smell really really good though, which is even more disappointing. Sorry guys but an upgrade is needed, 55 minute wait didn't help either. 40 minutes was what we were told. Good luck, I'm sure other items are delicious.

American restaurant without compromises, fenomenal taste and huge portions. Staff was awesome. Would definitely visit/recommend again and again

The brisket is amazing, almost melt in your mouth. Definitely worth it, portion size is pretty big too. Great place, will definitely revisit

I never thought I'd find such truly tasty American food in Taiwan! I had the pulled pork sandwich with chili cheese fries. CANT STOP EATING....!! Classic Western decor, craft beer, full bar. What's not to love!

We tried their T-Bone Steak and Baby Back Short ribs. T-bone : unevenly cooked some parts were medium, some parts were rare. Needed a bit more salt and pepper, the compound butter didn't taste like anything!? Could have been better for the price we paid. Ribs: it's OK, the meat didn't fall off the bone as expected. Could have been better. Side dish: mac n cheese ; and fries Hmm quite disappointing, was expecting better cos all the 5* review on Google Maps. Deep dish pizza: we ordered the Herbivore, the sauce was perfectly prepared and seasoned. The green capsicum and fresh mushrooms were so fragrant even when we were thoroughly full after the meat and potatoes meal. Drinks - we tried the Flight 3-beers ; only the light and blond beers were to our preference. Cocktails: Moscow Mule was good , could do with a bit more freshly pressed ginger juice. Margherita - good strong tequila Gin and tonic - the usuals . This place is good for pizzas and drinks. Must add that the service was prompt and the servers speak good English. That's a big plus.

Authentic American fare. Very very good and at a very reasonable price too! Pulled pork sandwich is really good, recommend Kansas sauce with it. Gumbo was really good too, hearty and homey, love the spice and sauce combination. Brisket was tender and moist, remember to get a side of sauce if you run out so your brisket has something to dunk in towards the end. Fries were crispy and flavorful, wings were okay but the sauces were really good. For a la carte, you could opt for a DIY combo from any three sides of your choice. We got mash potato and gravy (which was bomb!), hush puppies and Mac and cheese. So happy and full when we left, will definitely be back for more! Highly recommend!

Delicious American food. The pulled pork had great flavor as did the wings and Mac and cheese. The service was also very good! If you’re in the area give it a try!
