Sam Won Garden

One of restaurants in my pocket list when I want to eat out. We went there on countless times. Their seafood pancake is crispy with fresh seafood. The beef in the oxtail soup is also tender. They also provide many tasty side dishes which can make you really full when before leaving the restaurant. The service is really nice here. The staff refill the side dishes and tea frequently. We always have satisfying meals here.

Good service Food is good A bit far from the MRT like 20 mins walk

I had a great meal in Seoul at Sam Won so was sorely disappointed in the Taipei branch despite friendly service. Meat was tasteless and rubbery and the kimchee lacked craftsmanship. Seaweed soup and the traditional haemul pajeon were relative highlights

Nice, comfortable decor, with some private rooms, reservation recommended. Their meats were of high quality, but they came with pretty high prices. Only tried two kinds of pork and both were delicious! The cold noodles were average. Service was acceptable, but we did encounter some problems with our BBQ grill and it took us 3 times before they agreed that our grill did not work properly. Need to improve!

Great food and no vibe. The BBQ beef is just amazing! Other dishes are awesome too. This must be the best Korean restaurant in Taipei.

We booked a room for an important gathering. The reason for the restaurant was picked is for the good review. However, it’s quite a disappointed experience for such a pricy dinner : 1. The side dishes are just ok, only side dish that is meeting the expectation is the pumpkin salad which is mixed with smashed sweet potato and potato. Good flavor! 2. The meat is cooked and served at once and it gets cold which I think they can re-consider the operation flow to make the food be served with a better way and keep the temperature warm. 3. They forgot to serve the wrapping leaves (vegetable ) when serving the meat. They totally forgot this important ingredient until we almost finished the bbq and we felt so strange and asked. They need to improve SOP to prevent such mistake as this is very basic ! 4. The middle age of Korean waitress is attentive and friendly; however, there is young waitress who is rather unprofessional: she refused to help us claim/ exchange the soft drinks that’s included in the set menu we ordered only because she claimed that she is not in charge of our table. She also shout out loudly the total bill amount to all which creates embarrassing situation for our table to pay as we actually have someone who is paying for the dinner and he doesn’t want the guests know the dinner expenses as it’s not cheap.. that’s why we also arrived earlier to make all orders to prevent any pressure to guests. This is very basic service common sense and the waitress is just so unprofessional and not well- trained. 5. The set menu has a lot of rule when we tried to swap out some items . Recommendation is to make some flexible rule which will make better customer experiences. We have only 10 ppl but we ordered up to 12 ppl set. I think with the price range of the restaurant, they could seek a better service on menu choices. However , manager has good attitude just that the service is not flexible. Personally thinking a more flexible customer services makes more positive impression and brings back more business.

This is my first time eating in this restaurant. Last year when the pandemic is serious, we had their lunchbox and are impressed with the beef ribs. Today we went for family gathering. Although the price is high, the meat is great, both pork, beef, and shrimps. Will try again when I save some more money.

Price is high but excellent Korean cuisine. Good service and easy to park. Seaweed soup is highly recommended
