★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An interesting destination showing an unexpected side of Taiwan, as Schokolake is a chocolate-themed manor, the one and only in the island country, in fact. Visitors can participate in chocolate-making workshops, as well as enjoy chocolatey dishes and desserts at the restaurant. The B&B looks inviting and inspiring, surrounded by lush and well-manicured garden, like an English countryside estate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A interesting place to explore after you visit the strawberry farm. Their Bean to Bar have two brew, strawberry or honey brew beer. While they are so speciality in their coco drink. You can try out their hot coco drink here. My kids love to run around here and feeding the ducks and fishes in the small pond. Their bear figures super cute. ❤️

Nestled in the luscious mountains of Miaoli County in Taiwan, one can spend a pleasant weekend touring the garden, sipping local brews, eating chocolate-infused meals and discovering Taiwan-flavored chocolate.
There are also a variety of DIYs that one can do and then eat.
If you want a few more things to do, go next door and pick strawberries from Miaoli's many strawberry farmers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good place to relax with many strawberry farms around... Will be good to visit in Dec to Mar if you would like to include strawberry picking as part of your holiday activities. Not many activity around and transportation can be quite inconvenience although there is public bus 5656 available from Miaoli Train Station to Dahu or 101B from High Speed Rail Station...the ride takes about an hour . If you are travelling with elderly or young children, it is advisable to engage own transportation . Good mountain and farm view. The home made toast (only available in weekends) is well received but only available at certain timings. This place is crowded in weekends...recommend to visit on weekday. However, if you intend not to stay here, visiting cost is NT$200 per head which can offset by using the voucher to consume food or buy their brand of chocolates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chocolate they sell is actually pretty good. I enjoyed their hot pepper chocolate quite a bit. As a museum and activity area, it was kind of sparse. My kids got bored pretty quickly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coffee wasn’t great, the service was bad and it’s pretty boring. You have to spend $200 per person to get in which can be redeemed but all of the places there had an hour or more wait the day i went, all I wanted was a coffee and I had to wait for ages, I should have been told when I walked in that it would take a long time. The chocolate is tasty and maybe on a weekday it wouldn’t be as bad so not one star.
