good place for learning something about robots

It's quite interactive.. Has robot games.. Good to go in bigger groups..

Very interesting, especially for kids

Excellent place for kids ages 5-12 and anyone who loves robots!

How can you know more about Robotics? Here should be a nice place for the whole family to come and have a look. There are games to play, display items to let you know more about robotics. Also, there is a in-house farm that a wide range of vegetables have grown. Then you can know how to build up a in-house farm that can use IoT technology to monitor the vegetables grow!

My kids seemed to have fun. Then again they are 3 and 5 years old, and find peppa pig and 1m tall slides to be absolutely mesmerizing. In my opinion, most of the items displayed aren't museum (or even exhibit) worthy. We visited based on the strength of the google reviews, and were unpleasantly surprised. I'm not quite sure I comprehended the awesomeness of "interactive" portions, or the informative nature of the displays. There were basically two types of games. One was a hockey with armored RC cars (I hesitate to call it a robot, because they didn't do anything other than moving around). The other was a Rock-em, sock-em type Robot that you could control with a playstation 2 controller. Half of these robots were in a state of disrepair, and none of the ones I tried actually consistently followed most of the orders I was pressing. The 2 that the tour guide demoed during the tour died (probably in shame). The third interactive portion, a VR fishtank, was probably the most interesting to the kids, unfortunately this has nothing at all to do with robotics. As for the non-interactive demonstrations, lets just say the "Small World" ride at Disneyland is a decade or more ahead of anything that was shown here. I visited the Epcot center in the 1980s when I was 10, and my impression of that visit was probably more informative than anything I saw. If you have absolutely nothing else to do, and are in the Ying-ge area, and it's raining, still don't come here. You can go to an arcade and get an hours worth of better interactivity for 250 NT.

Kids are having fun here and acknowledged how a gear runs a robot.
