★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the first stops with trail you can go after the tourist info center. The trail is mostly paved and easy to walk on, slow or fast. Many things to see alongside the crystal blue river filled with giant marble boulders. In the middle of the entire trail there is a rest stop with some shops and a tasty sausage stand which you can eat to replenish your energy for the last leg of the trail. You gotta see it to believe it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An easy trail suitable for all ages. The best part is at 0.7k, and then between 1.8k and 2.4K. Be aware of snakes in summer and slippery rocks in rain. Dont just turn around and think that’s the end of the trail when you see small shops and the sausage stall (which are at 1.5K) because 2.0k is where you see those beautiful huge marble boulders on the river bed. The river here is a branch, always turquoise and clear, very different from the muddy gray main steam that cuts thru Taroko Gorge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I walked this trail 5 times last 8 months. I was here when is hot and sunny, I was there when is cold and clear, I was there when it’s mist and drizzling. In all cases, the hike is stunning!!!! Any time, any season, any weather. It’s also the easiest hike for any nine hikers. Easy to get to and hike die 3 mins, you already got the magnificent views. Try to avoid the weekend or holidays. It’s gets way too crowded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most simple and straightforward trail for beginners like myself. We visited this trail with our girls age 4 and 7. You are able to see emerald color river along the way. This trail is right beside a prominent red bridge. You won’t miss it!

The trail was well developed and easy to walk, it’d take around 2 hrs for the round trip (one way only).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular scenery all along the trail. Everything about the place is exceptionally fascinating. The path is well maintained, clean and clear - so there's no worry about getting lost or not staying on the path.
The rock formations, the blue springs and the layers of rocks on the cliff just reminds us of how much has happened over the thousands of years.
We past a shrine dedicated to the team of workers who died while buidling the tunnels for the roads we now rely on.
This place is huge , we came with a taxi, paid to drive us all day around Taroko Gorge National Park. We covered many places including the ShangYue Suspension Bridge.
