★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend trying the local veggies in soup or stir fries in this family restaurant. Very clean and English speaking. Dishes come in a choice of small or large size so we were able to try several. Guomao (fern) salad and sugarcane shoots were fresh and tasty. We didn’t try the beetlenut flowers but they were supposed to be good too. A nice change from all the heavy food during vacation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have a separate menu for vegetarians which makes it very easy for foreigners. The veg menu has a good selection of dishes (soups, tofu, mushrooms, vegetables, scallion omelette). The food is delicious and not too oily. The price is very reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hot, cheap, decent meal. I wouldn’t travel out of my way just for the food but the owner is friendly, the service is fast, and the meal was simple and enjoyable. Vegetarians beware, my tofu dish also had pieces of meat in it, so be sure to clarify that when ordering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vegetables were fresh and lightly stir fried. Try the local veg. The food was not to salty and the staff was very friendly, recommending their best dishes. Plus point, she asked if we wanted to fill our water tumbler. Win!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for something to eat before our drive back to Taichung when this little lady at the door invited us in and boy, are we glad she did! This happened to be the best meal we had during our entire weekend! The fried rice was perfect, the noodles and the Kung Pao Chicken were fantastic! This will certainly be a place we visit the next time we come to Sun Moon Lake!
