★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a least-touristic tea house in this area, this is it. And, don't forget the views from this quiet and serene place. It's a walk from the gondola mountain top station to reach here. It's much easier if you take a mini bus #Brown15 from the MRT Zoo station. Use Google Map and GPS to tell your bus driver "This is it! Down DOWN! DOWN!" (scream whatever you can imagine until the driver stops!) and he will drop you off right at the entrance to this tea house. (Mini bus stops where a passenger calls for this area, in addition to regular bus stops)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here when the weather was quite cold. However, the host of this tea house received us with a warm hart. A lady showed us the traditions of drinking tea in the traditional manner, which was very nice. In addition the food we had was great! It was a very nice experience in an environment that I perceived as too touristy when I first came there. The care and authenticity the owner of the tea house showed us, made for a unique and great experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great destination for tea, and it was the reason why we climbed the hill.
To get there, we took quite a long walk from the cable car station, and when we arrived there, the place was quiet as it was a cold winter day, and it was raining.
We had our lunch in a hut that gave us a magnificent view of the scenic hill in fog and drizzle. As no one seemed to know how Shambhala was like, I would say this place looked close to my imagination of it.
Being biased by the beautiful view and the cold weather, the food there was especially tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A remote and comfortable tea restaurant, quiet and peaceful with brilliant day and night view of the Taipei city and nature of Mt. Maokong. The tea and cuisines are tasty and definitely worth the price, owners were very friendly. Recommend people go to visit, but don’t disturb the peaceful feel.
