Sheraton Taitung Hotel - Taitung City

Can't beat the location. Food quality and varieties can't complain, actually it's great. Most of the staff are professional and nice. For the downside, gym is way small. Check -in process is not pretty smooth. Under Covid situation, they didn't fully disclose details for the service they provide, like pool, gym, restaurants. I got to ask and even been told inconsistent information which was so frustrated.

Not good feeling for me, my kid need hot water with milk at night and I going to the front desk, the answer was “all buildings without water dispenser. actually, I went to A-Li hai to have hot water and restaurant just next to front desk. It’s bad service impress me. As a tatanium elite member, I think that I can have free upgrade as possible. At first night, front desk told me that upgrade room was not available, next day will call me available or not. But I didn’t have any information (I stay two nights) after checking in. As four stars hotel, I believe that service can more seriously.

Loved our stay. Extremely convenient to everywhere you need to see. Free bike is a great way to get around (some with baby seat too). These days the night market occurs literally right at its front door (Thu, Fri, Sat). My 19 month old had a blast playing all the games and the vendors are all nice enough to let him win toys even if he didn’t technically do well. Very generous. The two bedroom suite is nice. Had everything we needed (incl for baby). One of my favorite surprises was how good the breakfast was. Selection was endless but it’s really seldom where you find hot pot dishes as all you can eat. We stayed for 3 nights and I went straight for yi mien noodles every morning. You can also opt for other noodle and soup dishes. All these are made to order. And of course you have the usual Japanese style and Taiwanese style breakfast items. You can even get yokult and edamame if you wish. Totally worth the room cost just for their breakfast. Personally tho, I’d skip their 2nd floor Chinese restaurant. Felt understaffed and dishes were mediocre even for Peking duck or lobster noodles. Nothing bad just nothing to rave about. But truth is you are not staying at Sheraton Taitung for their Chinese restaurant anyway. You’re staying here for their 5-star service, location, and in my case going forward…their breakfast!!!

Worst experience. If you want a place to rest, don’t choose this hotel. The singer on the rooftop bar kept singing til midnight with noisy and lousy music. I lived on a relatively floor already but can still hear the noise loud and clear. Called the front desk and they didn’t seem to care much about their customers who need to rest early. AGAIN, WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER.

Overall it was a pleasant experience, with clean rooms and good breakfast. But before booking the hotel I was not aware of the many restrictions. Here below is the list (for future customers' convenience): 1) Swimming pool not in function (works only on Fri and Sat) 2) Gym functioning only after 2pm 3) No room service at night time 4) Night bar closing early (22:00)

DO NOT STAY HERE!! the shower was disgusting and clogged and after changing rooms the tv didn’t work and it took them almost another hour to change our room. After changing to the 3rd room, I realized that the bathroom door could not close. This is seriously the worst 5 star hotel I have ever been to in my life and I have been to a lot of them. After talking to the manager, he gave me two boxes of the complimentary tea. Seriously?! The management should be ashamed of themselves.

The overall location of the hotel, service, and amenities aren't bad, but for the brand name and price, it was subpar. To start, the rooms were quite small and some of the detailed areas weren't the cleanest. The small rooms don't really bother us, but we're not fans of the mood lighting or lack of lights. The kid play area wasn't much to brag about. However, the staff there was extremely courtesy and helpful. We aren't big night folks, so the night market just outside wasn't for us but good for most. Not a bad place but a little disappointed.

Overall is quite nice experience. The staves of front desk and restaurant are super friendly. Especially the breakfast ones. The art and soft furnishings in this hotel are outstanding, I’m pretty expressed. The only thing is the housekeeping was just OKAY. Missed few things and didn’t finished their job properly. Expect that all the rest were very great.
