Shezidao Wetlands

This place is located at the bottom of Yanping North Road, where you can ride bicycles, bird watch, and there is also a large grassland for children to play. It seems to be the intersection of Danshui River and Keelung River. I remember that I saw yachts and yachts when I came before. I saw students from a nearby school paddling. It is a very good leisure place in the suburbs of Taipei.

The lane here is easier to ride than I thought. The road is flat. Today, there is a breeze while enjoying the wetland. Unfortunately, today is low tide, otherwise you should be able to see a different view.

?You can ride a bicycle along the left bank of Keelung River from Dajia Riverside Park or Taipei Art Museum. You can reach it in about half an hour by leisurely cycling, and then you can go around the island for a week along the bicycle path of Shezi Island. ?The area of ​​the wetland is not small, the field of vision is wide, the sun shines in the afternoon, the breeze is comfortable, and the Datun volcano group is in the distance.

It is a rare and very quiet place in Taipei, looking far away from the Datun Mountains and the Keelung River, and you can cycle around the island. Wetland Wild Bird Xiaozhu is guided by volunteers, but it is only open on holidays. There is Smile Bike 2.0 on the side of the road, but there are very few cars. There are two dikes, the new and the old, and the Water Conservancy Engineering Office has set up "artificial" wetlands between the two dikes to increase the habitat for wild animals in the wetlands. When the tide is high, it can be seen that the river water is poured into the wetland from the inlet of the old embankment, and the surface of the wetland is shimmering like a lake; when the tide is dry, a large mudflat is exposed. It is recommended that when you come to the wetland to observe wild animals, you must first check the tide table of the Central Meteorological Bureau to grasp the timing of observation. There is a footpath beside the bicycle path into the wetland. The gravel road along the way can be connected to the Dragon Boat Pier under the Shezi Bridge. It is suitable for walking and bird watching.
