★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took a car up from Taipei to this place. The environment is laid back, quiet, natural. We had the set menu. First two dishes were great but the rest were so so - a bit oily. Come for the ambience, but not the food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this place after 5 years. It becomes more and more popular. Dining venue was a bit noisy and crowded it weekends, despite the food quality remains more or less the same. But as the lunch menu charges 1250 NTD per head, i expect a more silent and private dining experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A unique experience in the mountains near Taipei. This restaurant's concept is about health, peacefulness and zen. This is achieved via the Japanese style setting with each table set far apart in a no shoes allowed platform room. There is no menu, the chef uses seasonal ingredients in a very creative way and focuses on vegetables like lotus root and grains like quinoa. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there wasn't any meats despite not being vegetarian. This may be just my experience. Definitely worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place to invite all your family or your beloved one to really settle down your soul here. Everything here gives you the vibes of zen. Their dishes are creative but I would say the most delicious. Worth trying tho. And I’m not sure if their staff has got asked to put on a poker face but they do, maybe just to fit the zen vibe here but I just haven’t got used to that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elegant Japanese zen style restaurant located in suburbs to Taipei. Totally worth the visit - a wonderful dining experience with delicious food while surrounded with the serene natural beauty. The staff was very attentive, and they made efforts in explaining each dishes to you. Food was good also - not just the taste but the presentation is also pretty. Would be the kind of restaurant that you feel like visiting once in a while.
