★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impressive area in Taiwan with nice views. Mind you that it can be very crowded during the weekend and you will need to pay a small fee to enter the park with your car or scooter. Parking before this gate is crowded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The entire reservoir and it's surrounds cover a larger area than one might expect. If this is the kind of place you enjoy, give yourself ample time to admire the dam and it's construction. If you are walking up from the bottom; come prepared as it's quite a strenuous walk. You will not be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the dam top a beautiful panoramic view of the water reservoir can be seen wide spread from left to right . Hills covered with juncle and wildflowers across the reservoir are exceptionally eye catching.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a great scenery place. Good for all activities. Biking, boating, jogging... There are also camping grounds within the area. Avoid your visit at weekend since it's extremely crowded. Admission for compact car is NT $80. Nice place for family visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty nice leisurely experience in this reservoir! We have been there both during weekend (morning around 9am) and weekdays (morning around 10am), it was not so busy in both occasions. We could find parking easily and it wasn’t crowded on the hiking path. It’s perfect to take a walk there now in late April for the hot climate since there are shades from the trees! It is pretty well maintained and most of the path are on pedestrian walk so you don’t have to walk on car lane. Not so many shops open there so make sure to bring your own water or snack if needed. There’s toilet near the parking lots. Can be difficult if you have a stroller but ok if the toddler can walk on his or her own.
