Shin Sei Bashi - SSB Hotel

Honestly, it is my best BnB hostel I ever live! Clealiness of the room and the bath room are really amazed me! Personal Locker is provided for the guest. Some local sightseeing information brochures are provided too on the room's table. Safety facilities were completed in case there is earthquake or fire alarm near the lobby window. 7-11 the convenient shop are just a 3 minutes away walking distance. And good things is, its also near the Taichung station. Overall, i would give a score of 10 for the conveniency of the location. Oh, one more info to be share, there is a Ice cream and treat shop just opposite the building cross the road, famous with their ice creams, traditional treat souvenir and teas product. Worth for a try! I bought a box of traditional pineapple cake, and I LOVE it so much! I'm so regret that I didn't buy some more? P/S: one more tips to choose the best combinations of 3 scoops ice creams: Choose the same category would be safer directions?,e.g: Fruits category, chocolate category. Under them there are variety of favors.Try not to mix sour, chocolate and tea series,?it may come out weird.

A clean, new room - small, but good for business travellers. Very near the train station. The breakfast is a guabao to be collected from downstairs, outside the hotel, filled with mince and fake plastic cheese

The hotel experience was greats!! It is hard to imagine that a tiny hotel like this can provided such a good service and everything here are so convenient. I personally very like the room windows, it is huge and clean, where I can enjoy the sunlights.

Location: Very good base if you’re staying in Taichung for a few days. Opposite the road is the famous Miyazaki ice cream shop, 10 minutes slow walk to Taichung TRA station, 22 minutes slow walk to famous bubble tea shop, Chun Shui Tang and about 30 minutes to Painted Animation Lane. Also, you can walk a short distance to take the ubus 50 to 921 Earthquake museum so it’s great! Room was clean enough but quite small so my husband and I have to give way to each other to enter the bathroom or walk around the room. Breakfast was a delicious bao you can claim by voucher from the shop beside the hotel. Recommend you claim it in the morning because it was very delicious. Overall: very happy with the stay. Also the hotel staff were all friendly and patiently answered some of our location questions.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Super comfortable sleeping quarters. Everything was tidy and new and spacious. Excellent water pressure. I absolutely loved my stay; my favourite accommodation in 4 months of travelling.

Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. All staff can speak at least basic English. Located close to train and regional bus stations, as well as local bus stops. Guabao breakfast is very tasty. Rooms are of decent size with good amenities. Convenient lobby lounge area with space for laptops and water/coffee.

Nice people with excellent smile and passion. And the breakfast that hotel provide is kind of traditional street food. It’s tasty. Despite the room is a little bit tiny. I’d like to recommend everyone to try while staying Taichung : )

I loved our stay at this Hotel! Though it's located in the old part of Taichung, we loved how the hotel staff takes good care of us. They were really accommodating and friendly. They tried so hard to help us with our questions. The room is a little bit tiny but all good as we are just a small couple. The one thing we didn't like is all the restaurants near the hotel is already closed as early as 8 PM. They do not have a restaurant so we relied on those 24 hours convenient stores.
