★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for a traditional Taiwanese breakfast. The food is delicious. The staff do not speak English but an English menu is available. There are a few tables to eat in or you may take it to go. This restaurant is popular with both the locals and tourists. Very busy but worth the wait which is not long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty traditional breakfast at a reasonable price. Recommend the rice milk and crispy bun and soup bun. Seen quite a bit of tourists coming. Dine in as you get served faster.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best sticky rice ball I have ever had! The fried dough inside is still very crispy. Soy milk is very rich. The clay oven roll with fried dough is very tasty. It has been the most satisfying breakfast in the trip so far!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite place to be for breakfast when I visit Taiwan! The food is great and even though business is good, the service is good. They are not snobbish at all. They have English menu if you ask them for it. Since it's packed, you do have to share table. They have a queue for take away (usually longer) and sometimes a queue for dine in customers. After you order, you will be asked to go to the counter to pay a collect your food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally time for review. I have beef there yesterday and still remember the taste of salty soy milk. It was the best salty soy milk I have had since I came to Taiwan . I strongly recommend to try salty soy milk on this small breakfast place . I also tried agh pancake, which was not the best , but one of the food one in Taiwan ( one of the best in Taipei so far ) . Little bit crispy and thin . The strong advantage of this place is that it’s open form morning till night , what I really love , because i like Taiwanese breakfast so much !!! Go and try this place , it’s close to Taipei main station .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best shao-bing (baked pastry) that I’ve ever had! I sampled everything here, and everything was great! The price is inexpensive but the quality is top notch! You see three generations of people hard working at this breakfast place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hot and tasty! Fairly priced. Yummy soy milk. I couldnt get into the fried dough wrapped in another kind of fried dough. The buns are good and filling. A stop before going to the museum just beside the building it’s in

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard good things about this old canteen so decided to see for myself.... And I wasn't disappointed! Everything I had was freshly made and tasted great. I was surprised by the delicate skin of the soup dumplings on par with more famous places which would cost many times the price. The standout had to be the salty soy milk which was rich and creamy and with the added egg a complete healthy meal in and of itself. The skin of the croissant-like roll was nicely crispy too. The indoor seating area was roomy with that authentic old café vibe.
