Snow King Ice Cream

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. Although it's on the pricey side, I'd definitely go back. My favourite is the basil ice cream, which I'm sure no other ice cream parlor serve.

맛과 식감이 특이한 아이스크림집. 양은 작지만 한번쯤은 가볼만한곳 Small and quiet ice cream place hidden on the second floor. It's a creamery ran by a nice old lady, and not many tourists seem to know this place. They have interesting flavors such as wasabi. The ice cream had an interesting texture and flavors that you normally don't see in a regular ice cream place. The experience was good overall, but pretty expensive for a small scoop. There are no tester spoons to try to see if you like it or not. It's a gamble in this shop! Recommended for ice cream lovers who want to try the out of ordinary.

Favorite ice cream place, located on a second floor- entrance is stairs with handrail. The owners are very sweet and knowledgeable and speak excellent English! We opted for brave flavors (pork floss, bitter melon, osmanthus and custard apple) and all were fantastic! Each flavor uses real quality fresh ingredients, and is house made. The pork floss had genuine chunks and was salty and super uniquely interesting- delicious but not something you could eat a lot of! The bitter melon was my favorite, it starts mellow but leaves that classic bitter aftertaste. The osmanthus was slightly savory due to osmanthus preserves but was totally fragrant and creamy. The custard apple had that real custard apple gritty texture and was perfectly sweet and creamy. The owners present them as a course based on ideal consumption (savory to sweet) and offer water as a palette cleanser between stronger flavors. Definitely going to come back and choose other unique flavors like sesame oil chicken and Taiwan beer next time! Taiwan must try for sure!

So very pleased we visited, fantastic flavours absolutely loved the strawberry and all the ones we tried. Will be heading back again this week. The guy running this place is very friendly and helpful.

Many different ice cream flavours to try & the lady knew how to speak at least four different languages (English, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin)! They also did have English menu. She also recommended to try the flavours in a certain order so that the stronger flavours don't overpower the milder ones. We got the pork floss , Jasmine tea & basil flavour - very true to their real flavour. The shopt's located on level 2 up some steep stairs .

Saw this on google maps and had high expectations. Was surprised by the price as it's around 95-150NT per scoop. We got a pineapple one expecting it to be a pineapple sorbet but it was actually like a creamy pineapple. It's slightly salty with bits of actual pineapple in it. There's this familiar taste in it, maybe Taiwanese something but I can really put my finger on the creamy buttery taste. Two out of the three people loved it so I guess it appeals to most people. Would be nice if they have a ice cream sampling flight so you can try all the fun flavors like pork floss, taiwanese liquor, bitter melon, ginger, basil, stir fried peanuts etc.

This ice cream shop came highly recommended in a guide book. There are lots of flavours to choose from, ranging from classic to more interesting ones. Went with taro and guava. Server was very thoughtful to serve the two flavours apart in order to keep the ice cream from melting.

The shop has varieties of icecream maybe around 50+. They even have curry icecream ??. In India we don't have something like that but i was shocked when i looked at the menu. I ordered mulberry and hibiscus icecream. And TBH the icecreams were perfect. The shop has kept its legacy by serving onw of the best icecreams in Taiwan ??
