Totally un-recommended for any types of tour. Unworthy of travel. First of all, really lousy accommodation, we stayed for a room for 8 it has only one restroom. Facility is so-so, really thin blankets that make you sleep in the cold. It is wihtout proper heater, their beds are close to windows that blow cold air when you STRUGGLE TO SLEEP. The most unacceptable of all is that their windows cannot be opened at all in the wooden cottage of Japanese tatami room. Actually we just wanted to tell people who made noise outside post 22:30pm to be less loud -- BUT turned out to be fake windows which led to shelves of aboriginal crafts shops AND THEIR ITEM FELL DOWN ON OUR PILLOWS AND NEARLY INJURED MY UNCLE'S HEAD. The staff made no apologies and even blamed us for opening the "so-called" windows. Secondly they don't actually provide cultural and ecological guide package of normal expected level quality (rather lame). We were supposed to have the traditional instrument DIY activity BUT THE TEACHER GOT DRUNK THUS CANCELLED THAT ACTIVITY. And WE RECEIVED NO REFUND. Lastly they offered some eatable meals BUT they are without proper dining area. Absolutely great if you would like to have cold dishes and get soaked by the rain. YES THEY DON'T HAVE INDOOR DINING AREA. In sum , a perfect place to get bad travel memories.

We had an awful experience staying here. The owner has a wood crafting shop which started to make loud noises at 7:30 AM on a SUNDAY morning. Never again to come close to this place. They never apologized to us (their guests) but were quick to grab our 2,500 NTDs for a queen bed room. Mosquitoes are a big problem, even in fall.

We firstly booked 2 nights online. As we arrived we instantly offered two fresh teas, made of own plants from the garden. (They have a cinnamon Tree, one of the freshest teas we ever had) It is no problem to get food in the House, even we do not speak Chinese, it was no problem to explain what dishes are offered. We had fresh made Dumplings with steamed vegetables. (see picture) Our room was very clean there was a big flatscreen (we not used :) )the bathroom was also good. There even with small artist gallery in the house, where you can buy two people Taiwanese souvenirs and handmade crafts. We felt so comfortable that we extended our stay for two nights. (which was also no problem) As we came for hiking, we can say that there are several beautiful hikes for any kind of experience. What I really want to mention is the friendliness and open-hearted attitude with which we experienced at the accommodation. I travelled a lot through South Asian but never experienced such warmth!! I found this place to be very overpriced for the quality of the accommodation offered. For 3400 nt per night the amenities a lacking. No towels for the bathroom. The walls are paper thin and not even finished while the rooms are very small. The food is very much overpriced for what you get. There is a large screen tv with limited channels, the money for the tv could have been used to finsh and paint the walls. The only reason I stayed was because it is pet friendly. Much better places around I’m sure.
