★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Upscale toilet, however users don’t leave it as clean as it should be. Trail paths are amazing, takes about an hour with a few stops here and there. Plenty of free parking at the bottom of the slope. However be aware of mosquitoes and small black flies that will bite you anytime you stop for a rest. The path is pretty well maintained and very quiet. Get to hear the birds singing, very tranquil sensation. The air is very fresh and clean as well, you can literally smell the sweetness and later on the density of the forest. Temple front enjoys a nice view with wind, no mosquitoes here.
Beware of dogs when the time is too late. Don’t get caught surrounded by 20-30 dogs just trying to get to your car. Arrive early and leave early.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful temple on top of the hill with trail paths. Religious center in Nantou, very crowded during lunar calendar festivals. The architecture is national historic treasure. Lots of parking spaces available. You may also want to check out the business blockade outside the temple.
