★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good observation deck for up close spotting of aircraft in TSA. Recommend at least 200mm lens if anyone wishes to spot here. However, there is almost no sheltered area except for the small portion at the end of the boarding piers so rainy weather will be a big problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rated as one of the top tourist places in Taipei, this overlook offers a unique perspective to airports that should be more widely adopted.
You enter the airport on the ground floor and follow signs to the Observatory Deck. Go up the stairs or the escalators and through the colorful, cartooned, lobby to view the airplanes and airport action. Basically the observatory deck is situated right above the airport below, so you can go out the different hallways and really get a clear view of the mountains, ferris wheel and city beyond the runway.
Tripods are allowed. Free access.
There is a store at the top incase you want a treat or snack. Great place for children and the elderly. Wonderful spot to take a group of tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The view of the platform is magnificently impressive. Passengers can see different aircrafts on the airport platform obviously. Children here are always excited about plane’s taking off. Some are just parking there, some are ready to fly. It is actually an awesome spot for you to enjoy the scene before your flying.
