Space Inn Hengyang Branch

This was one of the best hostels I've been too. The facilities are super clean and there is a giant lobby that everyone have to go through to leave the hostel so it creates a nice environment to meet people. Since it's underground there are no windows or natural lighting but the place is well light up. The rooms were super clean and beds were comfy. There are TONS of rooms but the bathrooms or lobby never felt crowded once. This hostel starts at around $10 and is one block away from Xiamen (the most bustling area of Taipei).

Great place to stay when in Taipei. The staff is friendly and everything is super clean. The dorm was modern and the beds are so cozy. Everyone got its own locker and you got charging possibility at your bed. The bathroom is clean, the showers are great, hot water is included. The kitchen offers free tea and coffee. Great value for little money. I would def come back.

For the price (I paid $18AUD for a night), this place is great value. I was quite happy with the facilities. The beds can be fully curtained, and contain a bed light, charging station and shelf, as well as a large lockable locker (locked with your issued access card). Be aware that this locker also contains your blanket (I thought there were no blankets and I was going to sleep with my clothes laid over me). The linen is clean and fresh. The washing machines and dryers are new and quality, and reasonably priced, kitchen is small but well stocked with equipment / tea / coffee etc, bathrooms are generous and have hair dryers. I did feel quite claustrophobic upon arrival; low ceilings, weird lighting, no windows, uncomfortable seating. But I got used to it after a while once I found that some of the couches are comfy to lie on, and another westerner was lying on a couch (I was scared to do this as it seems the Taiwanese culture does not appreciate proper behaviour). The air-conditioning was comfortable (not too hot, cold, dry or humid), and it felt nice to have a complete haven from the city - away from the smells, sights, sounds and wet weather. The staff are a little hurried and cold, although quite helpful. You can leave your luggage there for the day when you check out, and they also let me hang out in the common area before I had to catch my flight, which was nice seeing my flight was so late in the day.

Generally, if you're a love traveler or traveling with a few others, it is a really cheap place to stay and very clean. It's a typical hostel set up but with a huge community room with lots of space. If you like your privacy, it's probably not the place to go.

This is a safe hostel! I was pleased with my service and the stay!! The washer and dryers were expensive, but that's okay. It's in a good area with lots of shops and food within walking distance. The room areas are seperated by gender with a shared kitchen and common area. They have the option to rent a tooth paste, shampoos, etc for a cost. Umbrella rentals are free! The staff speaks English well ?

Great place to stay in a fantastic location. Amazing theme, very well priced, and friendly staff. I found facilities to be generally clean and the rooms to be nice and quiet. The common area is also fantastic, with great amenities, comfy places to lounge, chat, eat, or work. I was there during Halloween and they even put up decorations overnight which was a fantastic surprise in the morning.

It’s a good value for money. Location is great. The staff have a lot of customers to serve but are bi lingual and professional. The beds are better than average hostel beds with ample storage lockers. Towels are a little more expensive than I would like, but the shower and facilities are pretty good.

The rooms are clean, and the beds are well designed. Even though they are bunk beds they don't shake when people get on the top bunk which I really appreciate. The other facilities are great as well. The common room is spacious, and the bathroom is really really nice. You never have to wait in line because there are a lot of stalls. The location is okay, not too far from main station.
