內政部警政署保安警察第六總隊前身為警務處特務大隊（民國38年），自民國48年改編台灣省政府警務處直屬警察大隊，民國79年1月1日，改隸內政部警政署，負責拱衛總統、副總統、中央憲政機關、駐台使領館、機關首長、官邸之警衛安全任務。

The Sixth Corps of the Security Police of the Ministry of the Interior, formerly known as the Police Special Service Brigade (38 years of the Republic of China), was adapted from the Taiwan Provincial Government Police Office directly under the Police Brigade in 48 years of the Republic of China. It is responsible for the security tasks of the presidential guard, vice president, central constitutional government, embassy and consulate in Taiwan, head of government, and official residence.
