Spring City Resort

Went not as a hotel guest, to use the outdoor spa. 9 pools with spring water running at 38-42 Celsius - very relaxing. You receive a basket with everything you need for the spa, and the showers/lockers are top notch. Absolutely a good way to spend a day in Beitou. Also had dinner at the Chinese restaurant at the hotel. Slow service but the food was good.

Super friendly and professional staffs. Love this location for its public hot spring, many different size and temperature tubs with its functions. Hot spring tub inside the hotel room is super comfortable. Their complimentary breakfast has many styles of food to choose from as well. Over all was a wonderful experience. Will book again.

The experience was pretty fun. However the food was not great at the Japanese Restaurant. Instructions of where to go were quite unclear. Only 2 pools were hot, the rest were actually cold. Other than that there was a boiling pool that was quite impossible to enjoy. Facilities were clean and staff were all VERY helpful and pleasant. If this review were to be just for the staff it would be a 5.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hotel stay here. The room was lovely and spacious, and the private hot tub in the room was plenty big for two adults and one child. The beds and sheets were quite comfortable. The outdoor public hot springs area was also great, with a nice variety of pools for adults and children. We will definitely be returning in the future!

This a slightly older 5-star hot-spring hotel. The rooms are clean and well decorated. For many years this has been our go to hotel when we visit Beitou. In simpler times they have a smallish outside hot spring (wear your swimming costume), a swimming pool, a spa and a gym. In the hotel there also a couple of restaurants (currently shut - Aug 2021). This meant breakfast in our room: we ordered the beef and enjoyed the fresh light breakfast of slices of beef, french toast, fresh fruit and veg. Breakfast was served at 8:30 each morning (not idea if you want a lie in). This time we really felt that service attitude had gone down: getting ice cubes required a long wait and a couple of calls, a request for two more 500cc bottles of water was met with we will have to charge. I noticed that some lightbulbs needed changing. The room hasn’t been cleaned after we went out for the day as we hadn’t asked them to clean it. I don’t recall having to ask before and please make-up room do hanger would be the easy way to do this. Overall everything fell less friendly and attentive. We will probably be looking at other hotels next tube. Tip - if you do go to Spring city call them about the shuttle bus. You can get it at beitou or Xindian beitou. Slightly up the hill from the hotel is the Beitou Museum which is well worth a visit.

The lodging facility is very nice. We had a spacious tatami room at the corner slot which is great. We could see far with good view. However, the breakfast was not as good as we expected. This is the area they’ll need to improve tremendously and soon!

great spa quality and graceful, spacious Japanese guest room. Outdoor spa pools are of various kinds that are both fun and comfortable to enjoy. The facilities of the outdoor pools and the shower rooms are maintained very clean. Clerks are very nice, kind, and helpful. Room quests have to pay extra to use nude only public onsen and the gym is the only shortcoming.

Used the outdoor public hotsprings in Jan 2022. Surrounded by nature and the facilities are good, albeit a bit dated. However, the 800ntd entry is too steep for what you get, hence 4 stars.
