★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop is located in a renovated building in an old district of Taipei City. Drinks are good as always at any Starbucks shop, while this building and the location is unique. The 2nd floor is spacious. Very comfy for friends getting together.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building is everything, on top of the usual Starbucks experience. I’m glad Starbucks started opening these special stores, otherwise it’s the same everywhere. This store occupies the whole 3.5-storey, 85-year building. Much of the interior has been preserved, or so it seems. “Alternative” forms of Starbucks elements were added to go with the antique looks and feel. For example, the huge logo in black and white, or the furniture and decor. The roof is closed off when I visited, unfortunately. But I would recommend a visit to one of the toilets. You’ll be amazed, it’s like a time capsule...
