My friend recommended going here and although I was very hesitant at first (since I have no artistic talent) it turned out to be really fun! Would recommend this place for all levels even for beginners like me I was able to finish 2 paintings in 8 classes.

This is a good place to come and paint - especially if you don’t want to invest in all of the equipment and paints by yourself. I enjoyed spending time here doing something I love. ⚠️Getting there is a little hard if you don’t know Tianmu and the bus stops well. Also, don’t try to take 203 on a Sunday morning - it takes forever to show up! I took 606 (or you can choose 小12) to Special Needs Education school stop after the Baseball stadium stop and just walked a minute from there. Much easier! ⚠️I booked the DIY class and now understand it really does mean do it YOURSELF. The very friendly lady at reception helped me get a canvas (for which you pay by varying sizes), showed me to my easel, carefully, but politely explained where all the paint is, where I can get water and brushes, and where I can dry my painting when needed. She showed me how to find a picture I could use for inspiration, printed it out, told me to ask her if I have any questions, and then I was left to myself for the rest of the time. During my whole session, NO ONE came and checked to see if I needed help, so I highly recommend you already have some basic understanding of sketching, painting and shading. Also, if you like being left alone to do your own thing without someone constantly checking up on your progress, I highly recommend Studio 83! Although, I know some people prefer having help... ⚠️Make sure to book a spot because they are quite popular. ⚠️Having an idea of what you want to create before you get there helps. Portrait, landscape, still life, or something abstract? You can even bring your own photo to turn into a work of art, or at least try. ✅Great place for kids and adults; which is fortunately separated by areas.? ✅Bright space (with lots of paint splatters that tell hundreds of stories of accidents that have happened, but also adds lots of character), and an apron is provided. ??‍? ✅Make sure to bring a drink because you won’t realize how fast time goes by and why you suddenly feel thirsty ?after 2 hours of working straight.

I’ve completed 2 paintings here and am working on my third. Great space with natural light and great instruction. You can complete a masterpiece at any level you are currently at. I’ve been taking class with Dennis on Monday’s and he has helped me with the sketching of my dog as a base to layering oil to bring my dog to life on canvas. I highly recommend this place!
