Best Ice cream shop in Taiwan

The classic flavours are about OK but far from excellent (nowhere near Italian or Japanese icecream). Not much better than 7eleven... Mocha was far too watery, wasabi (had to try!) was awful - just throw some cheap wasabi powder and colouring into milk powder (no, there is no cream) and consider it an icecream? Most customers seem happy as long as they can get a selfie rather than a good icecream.

u	ultimobile on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good Wasabi ice cream ! Very rare ! I’ve only found 3 places in Japan - and this is much better than Daio Wasabi Farm in Japan! Choose number 4. Rosella ice cream also love - never seen in Australia so yeah share this too - number 28. I suspect they add something like the Turkish mallow that makes the ice cream stretchy and not melt so fast - whatever it tastes good. A famous shop that only sells ice cream? Should be good - is good. Tip - if long queues in the afternoon, come after breakfast at 830am when there’s no queue.
J	Jasmine.C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A rest stop when you are heading from Hualien to Taitung. A old sugar factory which came a tourist spot.They are famous for ice cream. Their yam ice cream is actually quite good. NT50 for a double scoop. Had their yam flavour for the second time when I visited Hualien. Vanilla flavour is only average. They have some souvenir shop, finger food shop, small canteen selling some local food. You can buy NT10 of fish food to feed the fat fishes in this pond. At the other side near the carpark, there's a small arcade.
