★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 蘇花古道就是蘇花公路最原先的舊公路，最有名氣的象鼻隧道就在該處，舊台幣壹元紙鈔上的圖樣就是它，現在有多處已坍方，要到象鼻隧道可不容易，要不懼高，要有相當的攀爬能力和辨識路線的能力，比較安全的登山口位於和平隧道的南口，安全帽防滑手套是最基本的裝備，隧道北口的登山口石壁非常的陡峭，要更專業攀爬裝備做確保才能行，如果很想去挑戰但是部份能力不足，也可以參加攀岩的山社活動讓專業者來帶。
The Suhua Ancient Road is the original old road of the Suhua Highway. The most famous elephant trunk tunnel is located there. The pattern on the old Taiwan dollar one-dollar bill is it. Now many places have collapsed. It is not necessary to reach the elephant trunk tunnel. It is easy, if you are not afraid of heights, you must have considerable climbing ability and the ability to identify routes. The safer mountaineering entrance is located at the south entrance of the Heping Tunnel. The safety helmet and anti-skid gloves are the most basic equipment. The rock wall at the north entrance of the tunnel is very steep. , You need more professional climbing equipment to ensure that it can work. If you want to challenge but some of your ability is insufficient, you can also participate in rock climbing mountain club activities for professionals to bring.
