Taiwan Advanced Composites Center breaks ground and is expected to be completed next year
Adjacent to the Central China International Airport, my country's first advanced composite center (TAIWAN ADVANCE COMPOSITE CENTER referred to as TACC) held a ground-breaking ceremony at 9:00 am on the 17th in the Shalu plant of Hanxiang Company, chaired by Xing Youguang, chairman of Hanxiang, and the project is expected to be completed in August next year. month completed. Including legislators, local dignitaries, terminal directors, and surrounding relatives and neighbors all participated in the grand ceremony. The ceremony was simple and grand.
Taiwan Advanced Composite Materials Center is located in the Hanxiang Shalu factory area, close to the central airport, expressway and Taichung Port, with smooth and convenient transportation. In order to create a friendly environment, the green building design concept and energy saving and carbon reduction design are introduced. The total factory area covers an area of 4.13 hectares. The new factory is 210 meters long, 120 meters wide, and 10 meters above the ground. It is planned to have 4 floors. The ground is officially broken today (17th). The whole project is expected to be completed in August 1999. It will enter mass production in the fourth quarter. The total planned investment is about NTD 2 billion, the workshop accounts for about 1.1 billion yuan, and the equipment is about 800 million yuan. The planned duration is three years. In the future, TACC Aerospace products will be locked within 10X4 meters ( Such as the various components of the vertical tail of a single-lane passenger aircraft, all the composite materials business of Hanxiang will be transferred to TACC operation, and the maximum annual output value is expected to reach NT$4 billion.
How to reduce the weight of the aircraft structure and improve the loading efficiency of the aircraft is an important goal that has been pursued in the development of aircraft for many years. Aerospace technology is changing with each passing day, and aircraft components have been gradually converted from metal materials to non-metal reinforced materials. In addition to following the existing technical energy, TACC will also adopt the method of cooperating with foreign advanced manufacturers to introduce high-end key technologies, advanced workshops and equipment, and cultivate a large number of R&D capabilities and technical personnel. And the quality certification system is introduced into the domestic composite material industry to form a carbon valley park, strengthen the composite material industry chain, and enhance the global competitiveness of the composite material industry.
Taking Boeing's latest B787 large passenger plane as an example, 50% of the total weight of the aircraft is made of carbon fiber/glass fiber composite materials; GE's Genx engine, which is specially designed for B787, has also begun to use a large number of composite materials in engine blades. and on the fan case.
According to the estimate of the world-renowned aerospace publication Teal Group in 2007, the annual output value of the global aerospace market will reach 140 billion US dollars by 2015, and the total output value of composite components in the aerospace market will reach 15 billion US dollars. The composite business of components, the annual output value of composite materials will reach 20 billion US dollars by 2015
