★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there on a weekday lunch and the place was packed! Good thing we made a reservation in advance so we had a table. I don't know if it's because of the people but it was hot inside. Felt like the A/C wasn't working properly.
We ordered most of their bestsellers - cheese buldak 起司雞, budae-jjigae 部隊鍋 (Army Base Stew), seafood pajeon 海鮮煎餅, and fried chicken 大發炸雞1號. Yum!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the kind of seafood pancake I like! It has a crispy-chewy texture which is not soggy at all even when it gets cold. Cheese dakgalbi was a bit cheesy and greasy for me and we couldn’t finish it (probably because we were too full). I will try regular dakgalbi next time. There are so many Korean restaurants in Taipei but most of them are not authentic, especially when it comes to dakgalbi. I think this place is one of the best among them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very delicious and surprisingly affordable. The banchan was replenished everytime we finished it and the portions were big and sumptuous. The menu was also available in Korean, which was very helpful to understand what I was ordering and to know this was the real deal. It's very weird when Korean restaurants have all the dishes in Chinese and then they give you an English menu that says pork and rice, that can literally be anything hahahahha so big thumbs up for that. Their banchan was delicious included fish cakes, pickled cucumbers, delicious kimchi and pickled radish. We ordered spicy fried chicken and bulgogi dopbap. It was simply tasty and delicious. The service is also amazing. I only give them 4 because they didn't have pork on the menu and I would love they could have jaeyukbokum or kimchi jigae with pork. Pleaaaaase hahaha absolutely loved the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good dishes, friendly staff and swift service. Selection is limited and prices are on the higher side. Banchan are good but not abundant. Not really suitable for vegetarians although I guess that some dishes could be made vegetarian upon request. Convenient opening hours and location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant serves very good Korean-style fried chicken and other Korean dishes. Due to the current virus breakouts here in Taiwan, we are onlu able to do Uber Eats and other food delivery options so we are not sure if there are dine-in options. Their menu on Uber Eats has some English but not all and are mostly in Chinese. The good thing is photos are available. Foreign credit cards are also accepted.

served pretty authentic Korean food , comes with complimentary refillable side dishes!!! I really like how Koreans rendition of the seafood pancake ,it cooked till crispy and studded with fresh squid and clams !!! Don’t miss out this one ☝️
But I don’t like to raise my hand forever , no one comes to my table for the orders ! That’s why one star is missing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second time at TaeBak. I absolutely love it. It’s definitely become one of my favorite Taipei restaurants. Affordable tasty Korean food! Yum! The staff is very kind and efficient. I’ll be eating here often!
