本中心座落於文風鼎盛的清水區，建於高低起伏的人工矮丘與平地之間，以「院落空間」作為整體空間之詮釋，建築仿閩南合院風格設計，古樸典雅，是一處多功能複合式的藝術展演場所，總面積約3公頃，主要區分為展覽廳、演藝廳、美術家資料館、演講會議廳、戶外劇場休閒區、研習教室區和行政區等，設施功能完善。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited this place February 2018. It had free admission and featured several different exebitions. The area is very clean and there is supervising security. Exebitions may vary, but I saw painting from local artists, caligraphy from recent times but also somewhat older. The rooms were nicely presented and volenteers were helpfull in sharing information. Upstairs is a small cafe which serves beverages and small snacks. There is also a shop next to the cafe. Outside area is very scenic. You may feed the fishes and you can relax in the nicely maintained surrounding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although this place is quite far from Taichung city (around 1 hour or more by bus), it worths a visit. The view is nice and also the art collection is interesting. People usually plan a visit to Gaomei Wetland too after visiting this place..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place. Beautiful gardens, fish and ponds. Great for photo opportunities. The art galleries change periodically and are spectacular. Has a cafe and gift shops. Also has underground parking.
