★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old station has a big square in front of it, quite a open space for pedestrians to chill out. But the trail flow to Bus station is very confusing and dangerous. still need more guide sign to improve the flow design.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taichung's old railway station designed by Japanese architect Kingo Tatsuno during the Japanese occupation. The station is defunct since the October of 2016.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The former big train station of the city is now remained as a heritage place for tourist. It has become an attraction for visitors and passengers. There is a big square outside and some seats for people to gather for activities. Students would come for club practice, and some street performers will perform on the stage in the front. In the ground floor inside, there is a new shopping center for souvenirs and food. One can get in to enjoy a quiet meal in the cozy air-conditioned room. This place is now more appealing than before!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New Taichung Train Station is just next to old one. It's really beautiful design. There are different activities at this square during holiday. From this station, right side is traditional local market, and left side you can find a beautiful green river.... Great location for tourism. Front side is bus terminal to airport, Taipei or Kaohsiung...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nostalgic old station building that is now used for events. In December they host a Christmas market and Christmas decorations. There are many huskies singing and busking in the open. Gives the train station a very romantic feel. A great meeting place and awesome display for family outings and tourists attraction.

They had some nice inflatables outside and buskers. They also had a small Christmas market inside.
we were there on a Thursday afternoon, so I’m not sure if there is some thing else on the weekends.
Overall it’s nice, I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it, but if you are there take a loop around
