But I was put off by the hard selling by the staff.. also, you can buy the cakes in individual packets. so if you dun need so many packs in their pre packed boxes, you can ask them to pack into another box size. Just prod them and they'll do it. if u dun like the service or products here, you can goto the nearby 新东陽 shop to get similar things
T	Tommy Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually not a fan of buying traditional snacks as souvenirs. However, this shop has a fabulous variety of Pineapple tarts and Tai Yang Biscuits. A short 3min walk from Ximending.

R	Reaching for the Stars on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staffs were nice and polite but lack of initiative to offer food sampling. An old lady, likely the owner, was extremely pushy and tried too hard to sell her tarts. She might need to be more tactful as it is quite turn off actually. Her 太阳饼is above average but more expensive compared to other brand , which tasted equally good too. The expiry period of her food is only 20 days or less so it might not be ideal if you wish to give them as gifts. I may or may not buy from this place again since there are better alternatives.
D	Doreen Leong on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i have been buying from this shop more than 16 years ago when they were an old-school bakery along Chengdu Road. Nothing fancy but the pineapple cakes were delicious and fresh as they kitchen is just upstairs. I like that it did not sit on the shelf with lots of perservatives like a lot of others, when I bring friends over, they will happily let them sample, they even deliver to my friend's hotel when we bought a lot. The packing is very presentable as a gift and sturdy for shipping. I enjoyed talking to the old lady boss when she was the only person managing the shop. After they renovated and employed young sales people, they are quite annoyingly pushy.
