★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most interesting thing I found in the temple - a massive 求签桶！Each divination lot (签) is like a meter long so I don’t think anyone could actually shake the “tumbler” until the lot falls out. It kinda spoils the fun of divination actually but wells this is how they do it here in Tainan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty impressive structure with the back courtyard. Really neat to see the worshippers praying. There is a big fireplace in the back to burn the paper money intended for the family on the other world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the Temple is a Taoist temple which worships Goddess of the Seas, Mazu [or Matsu], it also worships numerous Buddhist deities.
The Temple has beautiful Chinese calligraphy writing on the wall and most of calligraphy writing are related to traditional Chinese teachings of the moral virtues.
The Temple is well maintained, clean and neat, and the staffs are friendly for helping visitors. .
The Temple does provide free worship incense and other worship materials t the worshippers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was HUGE! Multiple shrines, room, passageways, etc. there was a concrete pool with turtles in it at the back.
Didn’t take pix inside as I didn’t want to disrupt people praying.
