The history of MAR.05 Martyrs’ Shrine originated from the Tainan Shrine on Zhongyi Road in 1923 (currently the location of Tainan Fine Arts Museum 2) in 1946 after World War II. It was relocated to the current site of Jiankang Road in 1969 after the city government ordered it to be demolished!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sadly, it is closed to the public. No one seems to be regularly taking care of it. Grass was growing in between the paving stones. Doors were tied and locked shut.
