★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 本校創辦於民國四十五年八月一日，時為臺南縣立曾文中學下營分部，由首任分部主任劉效文先生籌劃創校，歷盡艱辛。幸賴政府與地方熱心教育人士鼎力相助，校基得以奠立。
民國四十九年八月一日分部奉準獨立並正名為「臺南縣立下營初級中學」，由李昭旭先生擔任首任校長。
民國五十七年先總統 蔣公德政，實施九年國教，正式命名為「臺南縣立下營國民中學」
The school was founded on August 1, the 45th year of the Republic of China. It was the branch of the Tainan County Zengwen Middle School. The first branch director, Mr. Liu Xiaowen, planned to create a school and had a hard time. Thanks to the help of the government and local enthusiasts, the school foundation has been laid.
On August 1st, the Republic of China, the branch was appointed as an independent and named "Tainan County Xiaying Junior High School", and Mr. Li Zhaoxu was the first principal.
In the 57th year of the Republic of China, the first president of the Republic of China, Jiang Gongdezheng, implemented the nine-year state religion and officially named it "Tainan County Xiaying National Middle School".
