Ok place, but this is just the review about the setting not about the doctors. Essentially I think this hospital needs to use the spaces more efficiently and have better air filtration system because so many sick people here

I am leaving an English review to share some general information for foreigners. . We have universal healthcare system for citizens in Taiwan, but short-stay foreigners and/or uninsured can still make appointments with doctors, though patients would need to cover all costs in this cases. However, even uninsured, public hospitals still charge far less than most European, Canadian, and American hospitals for doctor appointments and meds, while private hospitals often charge way more in this scenario. . Btw, this particular hospital is a public one. . Although there is an online appointment system for public hospitals in Taipei, it is not very useful for foreigners in many cases. Therefore, drop-in is recommended. Please note: if it is your first visit to a particilar hospital, you would need to go to a designated counter at accounting/registration area first (just wait in the line for the designated counter, no need to take a waiting num slip). After first visot, you could use self-service kiosks at the lobby to make appointments for most departments at the same hospital, often possible to make appointments seen on the same day, except when it is late or urgent, for these you go straight to the emergency room. . There likely will be a waiting line and the actual appointment length would be succinct. Additionally, such as seeing a cardiologist or neurologist, measuring blood pressure and heart rate before appointment is likely required, and often you would find self-service / assisted counter(s) for this. Unfortunately, the request to measure and measuring machine's interface usually only written in Chinese. . After seeing ur doctor, usually you wait outside the doctor's room for a bit for the bill - and pharmacy or exam slip(s), if medicines / further exams are needed - to be handed over. Next you go to the accounting area, take a waiting number slip from a small machine or kiosk displaying a num representing num of ppl before you in line, and, when ur num is called, go to the announced counter num to pay (credit card likely accepted), then, if getting meds, wait for the number above the pharmcy windows to pass yours on the pharmacy slip (often even and odd numbers are two separate lines), and go to the line at the pharmacy windows to confirm ur id and receive ur meds. . If you have further exams or even hospitalization needed, you would receive further instruction at the end of ur doctor appointment, but written instruction could be available in Chinese only. You would likely need someone to translate for you (sometimes the doc would be the interpreter :) )

I give 5 stars for the worst service. They did it. I am impressed this is hospital. No clear sign for waiting line. No clear schedule for the whole PCR test. More importantly, there might be few potential covid patients nearby who they waiting for further test. It’s so risky. Hopefully, nurses know about it. But I still give support for our medical service. It’s just one bad hospital, not all.

They make you buy x-ray CD when they just email it to the other doctor. Waste of you time and money. Have fun dancing around each department of this crazy place. Would give 0 stars if possible
