Taipei Forward Hotel Nangang Branch

At first we are quite hesitant to book this hotel because of the photos online and some negative reviews. However, we still decided to book the hotel to experience Nangang District. We arrived at the hotel almost midnight and we greeted by nice and friendly lady. We are very surprised with the following: 1. Size of the room - bigger than what we expect and the cleanliness is beyond 100%... no foul odor, 2. King size bed are provided 3. Complete of everything that you need in a room 4. The bathroom is super clean with bath tub, 5. Toilet seat is japanese inspired with automatic washlet. 6. With 7 Eleven at the Hotel lobby. Free breakfast are also provided. Mostly chinese food (of course you are in Taipei) and other dishes like sausage, ham, bread and some korean dishes. All staff are friendly and helpful. They will provide everything you need. There answer is always positive in all our request. Bottled water are unlimited ???. Thank you to the big guy in the reception area, sorry I forgot to ask for your name. He teach us how to use the automatic washlet. He is fluent in English and super kind and helpful. This hotel is highly recomended for travellers with limited budget but looking for a good accomodation.

It's a good hotel with great facilities. The rooms don't have windows so they made me feel like I'm in a dungeon. So unless you are into dungeons and do not have money to burn then this is probably the best place. Was good for a poor student like me.

Rooms are clean and the breakfast is okay. They offer some local and some "worldwide" stuff. Very good service... I lost my phone in a cab at midnight and the lady at the reception tried everything to get it back. Thank you very much.

This hotel is located very near to business park. You can find a lot of good restaurants near to this hotel. Good choice if you are business traveler. Room size is equal to budgeted hotel . Please do not compare with 5 star hotel. You can find satisfied variety of food as a breakfast. Overall it’s good hot hotel

A value for money boutique hotel. Try the rice porridge and its side dishes for breakfast. It's light and delicious. The rooms are clean and tidy. The hotel also provides complimentary self service laundry facilities (wash and drying). While waiting for your laundry, you can enjoy (for free!) foot or back massage with the massage chairs. I have nothing to complain about!

I stayed here for my quarantine. The staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, including providing a pocket wifi device so I could play online games. Thanks for making a difficult experience more tolerable!

as a Quarantine stay hotel: pros: the staff was very responsive to my messages and requests for things. they were available to me almost 18 hours a day. overall, I enjoyed my stay here, it was clean enough. there was nice enough entertainment on the TV. cons: the bathroom would leak a little bit of cigarette smoke smell, from neighbors who chain smoke. the walls were a bit thin, so I could hear people coughing pretty loudly, in the rooms next to me. (I hope they didn’t have covid..) it’s ok though, I never caught covid. not in my travels, and not inside this hotel. the internet was a bit slow. I had to use my own 4g cell hotspot… I stayed in a room without a window. I HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND THAT! MISTAKE! you start to hate yourself a bit, after the 5th day, of the 15-day stay. so do yourself a favor, pay the extra money, get a room with window. would I stay here again? nah. but for a one-time 15-day quarantine? it was decent. clean bathroom, etc. good service.

I stayed for 10days fg or my qurentine period. Staff was very helpful. Room was very nice and clean. I have only two complaints.. WiFi was very slow and keep changing between room allocated WiFi and hotel WiFi. As soon as arrived they try to help me but after that I figure out how reset it myself. And the food.. Breakfast was good but the lunch and dinner not so much. Food looks very nice but no taste at all. Luckily few pieces of fresh fruits were served for dinner. I was remote working and this affected me so much. Of course you can order out but I couldn't do that as well.
