★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大湖底位於新店區下城里，為一塊三面環丘，西北面開口狀的盆地，因地勢較低，有如大湖之底，因而得名，現今莒光路明德山莊附近。大湖底是一個雜姓的地緣散村，清乾隆6年（1741），漳州人林、廖、張、吳、王、曾、賴、游8姓人家合股所闢，面積遼闊，大約20幾公頃，其中泰半為臺大實驗農場。
The bottom of the Great Lakes is located in the lower city of Xindian District. It is a three-sided ring-shaped hill and an open-faced basin in the northwest. Because of its low terrain, it is like the bottom of the Great Lake. It is named now, near the Mingde Mountain Villa in Shuguang Road. At the bottom of the Great Lakes is a miscellaneous surnamed village. In the 6th year of the Qing Emperor Qianlong (1741), the people of Zhangzhou Renlin, Liao, Zhang, Wu, Wang, Zeng, Lai and You 8 were jointly established. The area is vast, about 20 hectares. Among them, the Thai half is the experimental farm of National Taiwan University.
