★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 嘉南大圳曾文溪渡槽橋築構於昭和4年(西元1929年),後曾為道路,兼具「交通道路」與「輸水管路」的複合功能,對臺灣南北交通、經濟發展均具重要貢獻,富歷史文化價值;
The Jiannan Aqueduct Bridge in Jianan, Jiannan, was built in the 4th year of the Showa era (1929). It was once a road and has a combined function of "traffic roads" and "water pipelines". It has made important contributions to Taiwan's north-south transportation and economic development. Rich historical and cultural value;
At the same time, it is an indispensable part of the past and present Wushantou Reservoir and the Jiannan Dazhen water conservancy system cultural landscape, which has a far-reaching impact on the development of the region. The designer of the Wushantou Reservoir and the Jianan Dazhen Water Conservancy System is Yatian and Yi, and is known as the "Father of Jianan Dazhen" and "the father of Wushantou Reservoir". The aqueduct bridge is part of the Jianan Dazhen Water Conservancy System. Its reservations also show the contribution of Batian and I to the development of Taiwan's water conservancy system.
In addition, the bridge is made of iron reinforced concrete, and the Kaohsi Group contracting bridge pedestal civil engineering of many major projects in Taiwan was created and contracted by Japan in modern times. The bridge body is made of steel material, and the structure of the steel tank body is made by the Tsukishima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The steel source is the Japanese officially-made Hachiman Steel Works, and the bridge steel is heavily joined by the "rivet" method. The technology of iron making, cement refining and civil engineering in modern industry can show the characteristics of the construction technology at that time, and it is the appearance of industrial development in Japan in Japan. The bridge body adopts a 2-layer design; the upper layer is reinforced concrete bridge deck, and the lower layer is Warren Truss steel beam sink, which is joined by "rivets", which is a rare method of today's civil bridge engineering. Such a bridge form for both people's traffic use and water transport functions can be regarded as a representative building with excellent public construction in Taiwan; the retention of objects is quite important evidence and has architectural significance.

There are currently two Zengwenxi Aqueduct Bridges. One is newly built and the other was built during the Japanese occupation. It is listed as a cultural asset and is under maintenance. The old bridge uses the "rivet" construction method, and the new bridge uses screws. "Iron-reinforced concrete", the lower floor uses a Warren-style truss water tank. Construction began on September 17, 1924, and was completed on April 13, 1929. The total length is 339.9 meters. The building materials used are from Japan’s "Hachiman System" "Iron Office", the old bridge is a "people-water bridge." One of the piers of the old bridge is in the river. Wave-eliminating blocks are placed around it. This is to buffer the piers from flooding, so everyone can go. Take a look.

2022/01/04 Update
Now it is open, you can ride the transition slot bridge, and you can go all the way to the Wushantou Reservoir. Before the reservoir, you will be connected to a general road. Be careful not to bend to Tainan University of the Arts, there are many uphill sections.

The Ducao Bridge (Shuidao Bridge) spanning Zengwenxi in Jianan Dazhen. The old historical bridge is currently under maintenance. It was part of the Tai 1 Provincial Highway in the early days. It is a special bridge with traffic above and water below. The pier granite beam supports are quite classical and beautiful. The south side of the bridge has been broken. According to the current maintenance status, it may become a special landscape similar to the broken bridge in Avignon, France. You can also clearly see the space of the waterway under the bridge deck. Maintaining the current broken bridge should be the most valuable landscape. . The new aqueduct bridge has been opened as a Shanhaizhen bicycle path, which can go from Tainan Anping-History Museum-Nanke Station to Wushantou.
